In support of company philosophy, we
are constantly monitoring and improving service levels
and evaluating new techniques and instrumentation to
improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Quality control is an essential aspect of our business
given today's increasing concerns about safety and the
environment.
Fragrance Oils has
invested in state-of-the-art technology to ensure the
highest standards are maintained.
The analytical laboratory utilises the
latest instrumentation including Gas
Chromatography and Robotic Sample
Preparation which incorporates
techniques such as Headspace analysis,
thermal desorption, solid phase micro-extraction (SMPE) as well as hi-tech
infrared and ultra-violet spectometers.
All data is collected over a
computer network allowing full archive and retrieval
function. In QC mode, the system ensures batch to
batch consistency and
enables chromatograms to be made available to
customers. The analytical department also includes a
micro-biology laboratory where Total Viable Counts
(TVCs) can be determined and the efficiency of the
preservative systems where they are used can be
ensured. Procedures and methods are all fully
documented and regularly monitored by both internal and
external auditing, in line with the company's ISO 9002
accreditation.
At Fragrance Oils, creativity and
technology are not considered
in isolation but developed as
one in pursuit of excellence.

Exhaustive tests are carried out
on finished product applications
to ensure complete fragrance
compatibility and customer
satisfaction.
