Our Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur is home to an experienced and passionate team of Scentmakers who deliver an exceptional level of service to every customer we partner with. We caught up with Levene Wong to find out more about her role as Sales Director over in Malaysia.
WHAT’S YOUR SCENT SPOTLIGHT?
The scent of freedom! I like to travel and enjoy the scenery and the fresh breeze along the way. My favourite food is durian, a popular Malaysian delicacy. Being in this industry, I have evaluated many fragrances but my favourite is Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie Spring Blossom
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
I have 3 toy poodles and they always keep me busy! I also like to explore new recipes and I always enjoy watching a good movie.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR ROLE INVOLVE?
Being in sales, I spend a lot of time meeting customers however I tend to encounter new things daily so every day is different.
WHAT SKILLS ARE IMPORTANT IN YOUR ROLE?
I would say my nose but also problem solving and communication skills as well as time management, strategy planning and creativity.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE PROUDEST MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER?
I feel proud when I see a product that has been launched on the shelves in a market that myself and the team have grown.
What’s your favourite thing about being part of the Fragrance Oils team?
I love that everybody is very helpful and always open for discussion as this is crucial to help the team grow and improve. I am in regular contact with HQ through email and teams meetings.
